Amandine Orsini – Research Stay in Berlin Focused on Climate and Security

During the month of November, Amandine Orsini is serving as an Associated Researcher at both the Centre Marc Bloch and the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin.

At the Centre Marc Bloch, the research stay is being conducted in collaboration with Dr. Judith Nora Hardt, while at SWP, it involves working with Susanne Dröge on issues related to climate governance and security.

The visit provides an opportunity to engage with leading scholars and policy experts on emerging challenges at the intersection of climate change, security, and international affairs. Recent discussions have focused on climate foresight scenarios for 2030, including exchanges with Miranda Boettcher, while upcoming meetings will explore questions related to climate security.

As part of this research stay, Amandine Orsini will also present ongoing work examining the links between youth, ageing, climate change, and security, contributing to current debates on the social dimensions of climate-related risks and policy responses.
