Séminaire du CReSPo : China Foreign Policy and EU/China relations

In the last two decades, relations between China and the European Union have been affected by numerous crisis and events in world affairs: the global economic crisis in 2008, the establishment of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013, the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020/2021 and lastly, the ongoing war in Ukraine. In this seminar we will discuss China’s foreign policy towards the European Union, how international affairs can affect such relationship and the meaning of the Belt and Road Initiative to Europe as envisioned by Chinese political elites.
