Alicia del Pozo is a Research and Teaching Officer at the Institute for European Studies (IES) and the Centre of Research in Political Science (CReSPo) at UCLouvain Saint-Louis – Bruxelles. She is helping to implement the “EU Environmental Policies and Law (POLLEN)” programme, awarded by the European Commission and included in the EUGLOBALGREEN Jean Money Chair, by assisting on its preparation, research and teaching.
She holds a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Laws and International Relations (IE University, Spain), and a Master’s Degree in International and EU Laws (Maastricht University, Netherlands) with a special focus in sustainability, agriculture, food, and climate change law. Prior to joining the IES and CReSPo, she was a Policy Trainee at the Council of the EU for the Unit working on Animal Welfare and Plant Health, Food and Forestry, within the Directorate-General of Agriculture.
She is focused on contributing to the international and EU legal and policy framework related to the sustainable transition, climate change and the environmental, food and health crises by conducting meaningful research, teaching and engaging in policy work.
